Pollution Prevention

The District’s pollution prevention activities include:

  • educational outreach to customers and youth on how to keep pollutants out of storm water and wastewater systems;
  • informing the public about programs for recycling medications, fluorescent bulbs, batteries and mercury thermometers;
  • providing design guidelines and Best Management Practices (BMPs) to consumers and businesses for managing grease and other contaminants.

In our Public Outreach Program we supply information  such as: educational guidelines, recent regulatory updates, and general Public Outreach Materials. We works collaboratively with other regulatory agencies to support and promote a cleaner environment for all.

If you would like more information on our Outreach Program, please contact us.
