The Bay InstituteThe Bay Institute’s website is a wealth of conservation, restoration and educational information about the San Francisco Bay and its watershed — from the Sierra to the sea. STRAW (Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed) — The Bay Institute’s flagship education program — provides teachers and students with the scientific, educational and technical resources to prepare them for hands-on, outdoor watershed studies, including ecological restoration of riparian corridors. The program allows 2,500 K-12 students to work on 35+ restorations each year.
