The District’s pollution prevention activities include:
educational outreach to customers and youth on how to keep pollutants out of storm water and wastewater systems; informing the public about programs for recycling medications, fluorescent bulbs, batteries and mercury thermometers; providing design guidelines and Best Management Practices (BMPs) to consumers and businesses for managing grease and other contaminants.
