At its regular meeting of Thursday November 18, 2021, the Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District Board of Directors terminated the employment contract with General Manager Mike Prinz. The “at-will” agreement with Mr. Prinz was set to expire on December 31, 2021. The Board decided not to pursue renewal of that contract, ending Mr. Prinz’s employment with the District, effective immediately.
Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District Board of Directors member Rabi Elias has announced his intent to resign from the Board, effective December 2, 2021. The resignation will leave a vacancy on the Board and an opportunity for a resident of the District to be appointed to serve out the term through December 2022.
The Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District is excited to announce a significant milestone in its multi-year, $64 million Secondary Treatment Plant Upgrade and Recycled Water Expansion Project. Phase 1 of the project has been completed as of this week.
The District's Reclamation Area and all trails are CLOSED to the public for the duration of the COVID-19 shelter-in-place order. This action is being taken to help slow the spread of the coronavirus, for the safety of the public during the shelter-in-place period.
Major construction activity is now underway at the Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District, as crews work on the $62 million Secondary Treatment Plant Upgrade and Recycled Water Expansion Project.
