Pollution Prevention Week is September 20-26, 2010
Please visit Las Gallinas staff and booth at the Farmer’s Market during Pollution Prevention Week for quizzes and free prizes on Thursday night, September 23rd in downtown San Rafael.
The District’s pollution prevention activities include:
- educational outreach to customers and youth on how to keep pollutants out of storm water and wastewater systems;
- informing the public about programs for recycling medications, fluorescent bulbs, batteries and mercury thermometers;
- providing design guidelines and Best Management Practices (BMPs) to consumers and businesses for managing grease and other contaminants.
