Hours & Rules

Thousands of people visit our site for recreation use, and are welcome to do so. For individuals and formal uses, easy access makes for an ideal destination. Specific information is provided below:

The reclamation area is open to the public from 4 A.M. to 10 P.M. For formal group gatherings or events, please click the following link to complete the District’s Short Term Use Permit. Your dog is welcome but must be on a leash. Plant operations or other conditions can cause variations in access to specific areas and/or short-term information to be posted on-site. Please follow direction provided by any LGVSD staff and posted notices at all times.

CHAPTER 1 - An Ordinance Requiring That All Dogs Entering The Reclamation Area Of The Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District Be Leashed CHAPTER 2 - An Ordinance Regarding Use of the Reclamation Area CHAPTER 3 - An Ordinance Regarding Short Term Use Permits for Use of District Property

Parking

Visitor parking is provided in the gravel lot very near the entrance bridge to reclamation. Portable restroom facilities and recycling cans are located there as well. Should you need to park outside of the parking lot, please make sure to leave ample access along the road and do not block any gates, driveways or entry areas. Checking in at the Adminstration building is not required except for large formal groups needing a Short Term Use Permit.
