Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District participates on the Countywide Public Education Committee which promotes public education and conducts activities and programs throughout the year.
The Bay Institute
The Bay Institute’s website is a wealth of conservation, restoration and educational information about the San Francisco Bay and its watershed — from the Sierra to the sea. STRAW (Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed) — The Bay Institute’s flagship education program — provides teachers and students with the scientific, educational and technical resources to prepare them for hands-on, outdoor watershed studies, including ecological restoration of riparian corridors. The program allows 2,500 K-12 students to work on 35+ restorations each year.
