Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is elected at-large to four year terms by the voters within the District. Board Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at 4:30 p.m at the District Office, 300 Smith Ranch Road in San Rafael. All board meetings are open to the public, and we encourage attendance and participation by our citizens. Our Agenda is posted on the bulletin board located outside the Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District facility front gates and on this website.  Current and archived meeting agendas and minutes can be viewed by clicking on the Board Meetings Page.

  • Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District is a special district, authorized by the Sanitary District Act of 1923, California Health and Safety Code Sections 6400-6941.9
  • It is governed by a five-person Board of Directors.  The individual Board members  represent the District on other boards, committees and associations.  For further information on elections, please visit the Marin County Election Department.

LGVSD Board Members adhere to Board Policy B-50  for compensation and reimbursement for attendance at training, conferences or seminars and other travel. Board Member compensation is $252.70 per meeting up to six meetings per month plus $200 per month reimbursement for medical insurance.
